    Abstract
    The thesis entitled “The use of English Animation Video for Mastering Vocabulary ( a Case Study at First Years Junior High School of Al-Manar Islamic Modern Islamic Boarding School Aceh Besar ).The research question are the first how does the teacher teaches vocabularies by English animation video ? Second what are student’s responses in mastering vocabularies by using English animation video? To find out the way of the teacher teaches vocabularies by English animation video second to know the students responses in mastering vocabularies by using English animation video. This thesis aimed to find out whether teaching English vocabulary through the media can improve students’ vocabulary mastery. The writer conducted the research in two meetings, and did the observation, interview and students task as the instruments for collecting the data. For the population the writer use junior high school at Al manar Islamic modern boarding school and took 7 students from class one A and 7 students from class one B. Based on observation the writer knows the way how the teacher teaches. Based on interview the students respond from the use English animation video have positive responses. For instances it could make the students more interested, happy, spirit, convenient to understands the material, improve communication in English. From the students task the writer got a positive answer from student task averagely the students can answer the task that given by the teacher. In brief, the findings verify that the use English animation video is able to improve students’ vocabulary mastery.
