This study delved into the nuanced impact of the U-Dictionary application on
English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students' language learning experiences at
the University of Muhammadiyah Aceh. With a total of 19 samples, this study
aimed to assess students' perception of the application's efficacy and identify
challenges they faced. Employing a descriptive methodology with a quantitative
framework, this study utilized a set of questionnaires to unravel the application's
interplay with diverse language skills. The findings revealed enthusiastic embrace
of the application's benefits for vocabulary enrichment, grammar comprehension,
and communication. However, challenges such as classroom distractions, word
translation inaccuracies, and interface complexities hindered seamless integration.
Addressing these issues was crucial for optimizing the app's role in EFL learning.
In conclusion, the U-Dictionary app offered potential benefits for EFL students,
but resolving challenges was key to maximizing its effectiveness.
