This research is motivated by the existence of a new system in the world of
education called online learning since the implementation of WFH (Work from
Home) in early 2019 due to the pandemic. This research aims to find out students'
perceptions of this issue from various aspects including the challenges they face.
This study used quantitative research and questionnaire is the method employed in
this research to collecting the data. Students from the Department of English
Education, Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Muhammadiyah Aceh during
the 2019 academic years made up the population of this study. Only 17 out of 24
students from the 2019 batches were used as a sample by the researcher.
Following data analysis, the researchers discovered that some students disagreed
with the good claims made about utilizing WhatsApp Groups for online classes.
On the other hand, the majority of students respond positively about utilizing
WhatsApp Groups during online classes to support learning process at University
of Muhammadiyah Aceh.
