The title of study is "The Analysis of Slang Words Found in Bill Burr (Stand-up
Comedy)". The study is intended to find out categories of slang expression are
found in the Bill Burr stand-up comedy and to find out the slang words used in
Bill Burr Stand-up comedy mean in English. This study used qualitative research,
and the population in this study was all titles in Bill Burr Stand-up comedy,
consisting of 10 titles. The samples of this study are 3 titles Bill Burr Stan-up
comedy, there are: Why are People Still Getting Married, Let it go 2010, and
Bass/ Schuler entertainment. The data collected will be analyzed accurately. From
the documents and the facts studied, the writer aims to classify the background of
each words so that they have different meaning in contexts. The results of in this
research that there are several categories of slang words used in Bill Burr Stand
Up comedy, which the authors found from the 3 titles sampled in this study. of the
three titles, the slang words used cannot be separated from slang words which are
generally used in everyday conversations such as gotta, gonna, wanna, guy and so
on.
