The research of the analysis of students’ perception toward English lesson had been
done at SDN Blang Mee Lhoong Aceh Besar on Saturday, May 14th 2022. The
problems of this research are; what are students’ perceptions of English Lesson at
SDN Blang Mee Lhoong Aceh Besar? And what problems are faced by students of
SDN Blang Mee Lhoong Aceh Besar in the English class? There are two purposes of
this research, namely; to find out students' perception of English lesson and to
investigate the problems faced by the students of SDN Blang Mee Lhoong Aceh
Besar in the English class. This research is qualitative research with questionnaire
and interview as the instrument. The data that had been collected then analysed
using simple percentage formula and descriptive analysis. The result of this
research showed that the majority of students gave positive responses to nine out of
ten statements that were provided in the questionnaire. Meanwhile, students agreed to
one of the statements which stated that English is a difficult subject to learn. All these
results were also supported with the result of interview. It was concluded that the
students have positive perception toward English lesson. However, the students had
problem with the difficulty of English as a foreign language itself.
