Abstract

This study investigated how students at SMK N 3 Banda Aceh used the ITranslate software to translate texts from Indonesian to English. The study examined
how students interacted with the app and the difficulties they encountered when using
it. The writer delivered questioner to get the result. The study found that the ITranslate app was extensively utilized by female students to translate Indonesian text
into English. Most participants found the app easy to use and recognized its positive
impact on motivation and vocabulary improvement. However, concerns arose
regarding translation accuracy, sentence structure, and changes in meaning.
Additionally, usability challenges were identified with specific features such as voice
and camera functions. These findings connected with prior research in the field,
providing a broader comprehension of the implications and uses of translation tools in
contemporary language education. Ultimately, this study contributed to both
educators and app developers by offering a comprehensive understanding of the
interaction between technology and language learning.
