Coronary heart disease is a disease caused by blockage of the coronary arteries or
narrowing due to fatty deposits, which gradually accumulate on the walls of the arteries.
The 6-minute walking test (6MWT, 6-minute walking test) is a simple, objective and cheap
test that can be carried out in hospitals with fast and efficient time management. The
purpose of writing this KTI is to find out whether the six minute walk test can trigger chest
pain, shortness of breath, assess the level of functional ability, assess the level of fatigue,
and affect oxygen saturation. The method in this writing uses a case study by carrying out a
six minute walk test on patients with coronary heart disease. After carrying out two tests,
namely the first test carried out at the first therapy visit and the second test carried out
after the 12th therapy visit, the results were a reduction in chest pain of 66.5%, a reduction
in the level of shortness of breath 55.5%, a reduction in the level of fatigue 15.4%. %,
functional ability increased 5.26%, increased oxygen saturation 4.5%. There was an increase
in the distance covered by the six minute walk test by 20%.
To prevent recurrent heart attacks in patients with coronary heart disease, it is
recommended that they change their lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle by consuming foods that
do not contain high fat, exercising regularly, regularly taking medication recommended by a
heart specialist and avoiding stress.
